2.1 Accessing Investment Workspaces
Overview
This article explains how to sign in and reach the Workspaces area and what first-time users see when there are no workspaces yet.
Steps
- Sign in to Clade.
- In the left navigation, click Investments to open Investment Workspaces.
- Confirm the page title reads Investment Workspaces and the All tab is selected.

Use the tab bar to switch between All and your custom list tabs.

2.1.1 When You Have No Workspaces Yet
If you have never created a workspace, the page shows an empty state with the message “Jump in!” and an Add Workspace button.
💡 Tip
You can add an existing investment to your list or create a brand new workspace if it does not already exist.

2.2 Add Your First Workspace Using Add Workspace
Overview
Use this quick path to add an existing investment to your list from the empty state or from the toolbar.
Steps
- Click Add Workspace.
- In the Add Investment to list modal, click the Investment Name field.
- Start typing the investment name and select it from the dropdown.
- Click Add.
- The selected workspace appears in the grid on Investment Workspaces.
🧩 Context
This option links an existing investment to your list so you can begin working with it immediately.


2.3 Create a Brand New Workspace
Overview
Use this path when the investment name you need does not appear in search.
Steps
- In the upper right, click Create Workspace.
- The Create new investment workspace page opens.
- In Investment details, choose the Investment Type from the dropdown.
- Complete the required fields.
- Click Create.
- You are taken to the new workspace where you can add documents, notes, and activity.
⚠️ Warning
If you navigate away before clicking Create, the workspace will not be saved.


2.4 Navigating the Workspaces Page
Overview
Learn the primary controls on the Workspaces page to browse and manage lists.
Toolbar
- Create List
- Add Workspace
- Edit List
- Reset View
- Export CSV
Tabs
- All shows all workspaces available to you.
- Custom tabs show your team’s curated lists.
Grid
- Each row represents an individual workspace.
- Click a workspace name to open its details page.
