IMI - Troubleshooting Common Issues

4.1 Clade Analyst Did Not Join or Transcribe Meeting:

Cause 1: Host Approval Needed (External Meetings): The most common reason. The external host must admit "Clade Analyst" from the waiting room or approve recording.

  • Solution: Remind the host to approve the bot. If missed, the meeting won't be transcribed by IMI.

Cause 2: Meeting Platform Restrictions: Some organizations or users have settings on their Zoom/Teams that prevent guest recording or bot participation.

  • Solution: The host may need to adjust their meeting settings. Alternatively, suggest using Clade's native meeting creation ("Create New Meeting") where you control hosting. See here for common issues.

Cause 3: Incorrect Meeting Link/Time (Manual Invite): If you used "Invite Clade Analyst to Join a Meeting," double-check the URL, date, and time are accurate.

  • Solution: If incorrect, you may need to re-invite with corrected details, but transcription for the original time will be missed.

Cause 4: Clade Analyst Toggle OFF: For synced meetings, ensure the "Clade Analyst" toggle was switched ON for that specific meeting.

  • Solution: This needs to be done before the meeting.

4.2 Multiple "Clade Analyst" Bots in a Meeting:

Cause: This can happen if multiple team members have "Default Auto-Join" set to "All Meetings," or if multiple members manually invite the analyst to the same external meeting.

Solution: Coordinate within your team. For synced meetings, decide on a team-wide auto-join strategy or assign one person to manage analyst toggles. For manual invites to external meetings, only one team member should invite the analyst.

4.3 Calendar Sync Not Working or Meetings Not Appearing:

Cause 1: Authorization Issues: Clade may no longer have the necessary permissions for your Google/Microsoft calendar.

  • Solution: Go to IMI Settings -> Calendar Settings and click "Sync Calendar" to re-authorize.

Cause 2: Organizational IT Restrictions: Your company's IT department might block third-party app integrations with your calendar.

  • Solution: Contact your IT department. Clade support can provide information they might need to whitelist the integration.

Cause 3: Filter Applied: Ensure no filters are active in the IMI Calendar view that might be hiding meetings.

  • Solution: Click "Reset" on the filter bar.

4.4 Meeting Briefing [BETA] Not Generated:

Cause 1: Briefing Setting Disabled: Check IMI Settings -> Meeting Analyst -> Meeting Briefing is toggled ON.

Cause 2: Insufficient Lead Time: The briefing is generated based on the reminder time. If the meeting was added too close to its start time, the briefing might not be generated.

Cause 3: No Linked Workspace or Pitch Deck: Briefings rely on contextual data. Ensure the meeting is linked to an Investment Workspace containing relevant documents (especially a pitch deck) or that a pitch deck was directly associated with the meeting.

Solution: Link the meeting to a relevant workspace and upload key documents.

4.5 Client Data (Meeting Participants) Not Appearing for Synced Meetings:

Cause: The "Privacy" setting under Calendar Settings is likely OFF (default).

Solution: If you want guest data for all synced meetings, turn this toggle ON. Otherwise, participant data will only be pulled for meetings where "Clade Analyst" is enabled.
